My copy of this issue is a Second Release edition, and I think many if not all of these re-releases were dumped on the market c.August 1983 by Federal Comics. Federal may have plastered Second Release stickers on excess Murray stock, but I also think some of this stock was comprised of returns from newsagents. I have discussed this previously re: Carnival of Fear. This copy of Romantic Story is marked with a 10 on the rear cover by the newsagent. I'm assuming this mark relates to the initial publication of this issue, suggesting a publication date of July 1981.
