Planet of the Apes #2: The Newton edition

The cover image on Newton Comics' Planet of the Apes #2 originally appeared on Marvel Comics' Planet of the Apes #2

The contents are as follows:

[Terror on the Planet of the Apes Chapter One]: The Forbidden Zone Of Forgotten Horrors!, originally published in Planet of the Apes #2, October 1974

[Terror on the Planet of the Apes] Chapter Two: Lick the Sky Crimson, originally published in Planet of the Apes #2, October 1974

Planet of The Apes [Part 2], originally published in Planet of the Apes #1, August 1974

In the Marvel Planet of the Apes #2 the first story is titled Terror on the Planet of the Apes Chapter One. The Terror on the Planet of the Apes title is on a separate page with an image and a blurb. This was so in Marvel's Planet of the Apes #1, and replicated in Newton's Planet of the Apes #1. The blurb page is not reprinted in Newton's Planet of the Apes #2, but the relevant text from the page is included at the top of page 3:

Planet of the Apes [Part 2] includes a short recap at the top of the first page:

Presumably this was done in-house. And despite the forecasting in the previous issue, this chapter is not titled Prepare to Die. Nevertheless, the story does pick up where it left off in the previous issue. It manages to print the next 10 pages, leaving 3 as yet unaccounted for. Once again, the next instalment is announced with an in-house title: Killer Apes Attack!

The poster in this issue is an image of Spider-Man and Dr. Doom culled from the splash page to the main story in The Amazing Spider-Man #5:

The contest in this issue ends 7 July 1975, the same date as the contest in Planet of the Apes #1. The issue was advertised (with a pre-production image) as on sale 28 June 1975 in The Avengers #1:
