Planet of the Apes #3: The Newton edition

The cover on Newton Comics' Planet of the Apes #3 originally appeared on Marvel Comics' Planet of the Apes #3.

The contents are as follows:

[Terror on the Planet of the Apes Chapter One]: Spawn of the Mutant-Pits, originally published in Planet of the Apes #3, December 1974

[Terror on the Planet of the Apes] Chapter Two: The Abomination Arena, originally published in Planet of the Apes #3, December 1974

Planet of the Apes Chapter Two: World Of Human Captives, originally published in Planet of the Apes #1, August 1974

This chapter is three pages long. These three pages are the remaining pages left over from the initial  publication of the chapter in Newton's Planet of the Apes #1 which is now spread over three Newton issues. The title Killer Apes Attack! forecast in Newton's Planet of the Apes #2 is not used - instead, the three page segment is titled World of Captive Humans:

The final panel in Marvel's Planet of the Apes #1 reads Next: The City of the Apes. In the Newton edition it is amended to Now: The City of the Apes:

[Planet of the Apes Chapter Two: World of Captive Humans], originally published in Planet of the Apes #2, October 1974

Similarly to what Newton did with the Terror on the Planet of the Apes blurb page, this chapter has the text from the blurb in Marvel's Planet of the Apes #2 printed on top of the first page of the chapter:

This takes up the space reserved for the title Planet of the Apes Chapter Two: World of Captive Humans - which, of course, is the title which had been appropriated for the last segment of the first chapter at the start of this story in this issue... still following this...? And of course, The City of the Apes!, which we were advised was to appear "Now" is nowhere to be seen...

The chapter is continued in the next issue with the provisional title The Surgeons Knife!:

The poster in this issue is from the cover of Fantastic Four #139. The poster was also in The Amazing Spider-Man #9.

This issue contains in-house advertisements for other Newton Comics, one of which is advertised as being published 12 July 1975, and another which is confirmed as a July issue. Along with the contest expiry date of 12 August 1975, it appears this issue was published early July 1975.

Update 21/12/2018: This issue was advertised in the Sunday Observer 13 July 1975:

So let's deem this issue confirmed published 12 July 1975.
