The Amazing Spider-Man #5: The Newton edition

Newton Comics' The Amazing Spider-Man was published 2 August 1975:

The cover originally appeared on Marvel's The Amazing Spider-Man #5:

The story contents are as follows:

[Marked for Destruction by Doctor Doom!] Spiderman Steps Up His Fight Against The Evil Dr. Doom, originally published in The Amazing Spider-Man #5, October 1963

The Wondrous World of Dr. Strange!, originally published in The Amazing Spider-Man Annual #2, [September] 1965

What The Well-Dressed Spider-Man Will Wear, originally published in The Amazing Spider-Man Annual #4, November 1967

Spidey's Greatest Talent, originally published in The Amazing Spider-Man Annual #4, November 1967

The first 13 pages of Marked for Destruction by Doctor Doom! were published in The Amazing Spider-Man #4. The next 8 pages are published in this issue, hence the new title to this portion:

The third tier is cropped at the bottom to accommodate the title.

There is another minor and relevant modification to the text. On the last page the text box on the bottom of the page has been changed to advise that "Spider-Man is now published fortnightly!" - the original text says "monthly":

Spidey's Greatest Talent is subtitled The Ability to Climb Walls and Stick to Any Surface. The version published in this issue does not include the two-page spread with Spider-Man's villains. It does include a single page illustration of Spider-Man holding up Avengers members on a round platform. This image was also used on a king-size poster.

The poster in this issue is Iron Man and The Hulk - it is the same poster included in The Amazing Spider-Man #3.

The contest expiry date is 15 September 1975.
